Got some big news at Easter dinner with my family.

Since last weekend was my mom's birthday, but she was in Kentucky with my great aunt (she was driving her back to Hamilton from Florida), we did belated birthday presents before Easter dinner. And the card from my brother and sister-in-law to my mother said something like "Grandma, blah blah blah, Happy Birthday!" with Grandma circled to make it really stand out.

I'm gonna be an aunt! And the due date is 2 days after my birthday!

Which means that my parents will stop asking me (their unmarried child) about having kids! YAY! Plus, playing with a little baby is always fun.

Thanks! I'm excited. I like babies, especially when they don't belong to me. :)

My theory is that babysitting broke my biological clock. The best was seeing four 10-12 year old boys having an underwear fight; I totally lost any urge I may have had to have kids.

Hello, Auntie Em. =)

I was an Aunt, briefly, when I was still married to the ex. It was great. I miss being the Aunt and getting to play with my (ex) nephew and spoil him with gifts.

Enjoy!

Hello! :)

I'm looking forward to playing with my niece or nephew (it's too early to tell yet). I think I'd better get started on knitting the baby blanket I'm planning, since I have no idea how long it will take me. :)

I can knit now (yay), but not when I was an Auntie. I missed out on knitting things for my (ex) nephew. :(

Enjoy the baby blanket! And knitters unite and all that jazz...

Sadly, I know. So I'll keep telling them to bug their married kids, and they'll maybe eventually realize that I mean it when I say I don't want kids.

Auntie Em... Auntie Em....

Well from one Auntie to another it does rock pretty hard. My nephew is in my wedding party (being a strapping 15 year old) And they're loads of fun when they're older and you can corrupt them just like we used to do to younger universtiy students. *smirk* congrats and all that jazz.

Love
Auntie Beck
