Top 5!
Comment with the words "Top Ten" or "Top Five" (or whatever number you fancy), and I will reply with a subject for which you will generate a top ten (or top five) list. Then, post the list and instructions in your own journal.
From
lection, I got:
*Not literally, of course. For instance, I could LIVE without my hair dryer but I am perhaps unhealthily dependent on it, so I would put it on my list.
In no particular order, the top 5 items I cannot live without:
1. My music collection. I neeeeeeeeeeed music. And now that my collection has amalgamated with Scott's, it is so much bigger and exciting!
2. My black hoodie. It is my comfort clothing, and very versatile. I can wear it bumming around, and I can even get away with wearing it to work.
3. My mini food processor. Forget grating stuff! I'm totally throwing everything that needs to be chopped into the food processor and never wasting time chopping or grating again! I just hope I won't cut myself each time I clean it.
4. My bag collection. Because I carry a lot of stuff with me and I need somewhere awesome to put it all! Plus, I like to have a place to put my pins. And I have some great bags - my Queen Bee Creations goldfish bag, my "Get your own bag, bitch!" bag, the fun one I made out of duct tape...I like bags!
5. My Greyhound bus pass. Otherwise, I couldn't get to work, and if I didn't work, I wouldn't get paid, and that would be a sad, sad state of affairs.
And the following 5-themed list was assigned by
audrawilliams:
Again, in no particular order, the top 5 ways my life is better than it was five years ago:
1. I am no longer renting, and own a house! With a yard! And a cat! (Although I got the cat before the house, I did not have the cat 5 years ago.)
2. I have travelled outside of North America, and am hoping to do so again within the year!
3. I finished my BA, and figured out what I want to do with my life, and started working on accomplishing that. 5 years ago I was just finishing up my BA, and had no idea what I wanted to do (hence why I accepted a job in collections shortly afterwards. UGH).
4. I've made some great friends over the past 5 years, and gotten back in touch with awesome friends that I haven't talked to in over 5 years.
5. I'm an aunt! I love kids, but don't want any of my own, so being an aunt is great fun for me. Plus, my nephew is just so freaking cute!
And from
sarcasma:
My top five beverages and why:
1. Ginger Ale (Canada Dry) - I find it tasty and not too sweet (unlike a lot of other pop). And I prefer Canada Dry (not as ginger-y as Schweppe's, and I've never really tried any others).
2. Water - dude, I live on this! Easy to find, and it quenches my thirst wonderfully. Plus, the fact that you can get it for free out of a tap is a bonus. Add a little lemon, if I need some flavour, and it's all good.
3. Iced Tea - Yum! With some lemon...mmm!
4. Hot Tea - I hate coffee, and there's so many fun flavours of tea out there! I really need to drink it more often, as I have a ton of tea at home (even though I've given great gobs of it away).
5. White Hot Chocolate - so good! I hate regular hot chocolate (I find it watery, and the chocolate generally tastes like crap), but love white hot chocolate.
I don't drink, so there's no alcohol there. I did enjoy the Grasshoppers my brother made me for my 19th birthday (when he wanted to get me drunk and failed), but I think that's because there was so much ice cream in them the drinks tasted like Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream, which is also yum!

1. Oh I totally agree with the music collection need. This would probably be my number one too!
2. I think I have the same black hoodie.
3. Tell me about your mini food processor! I know that sounds like a stupid question but I want one and when I start looking on, say, amazon, I get totally overwhelmed by all the choices and totally give up.
4. I also love bags! I also have an awesome Queen Bee bag that I adore! I tend to buy bags at thrift stores, mostly, so that I can totally rationalize having 10 bags. Yay for bags! And thrift stores!
5. This is the only one I couldn't directly relate to because I live in a small town and walk everywhere and the bus is FREE for students if I need to get anywhere even remotely far!

The mini food processor is this two-in-one chopper/blender. It's not very big, and there's not a lot of options of what you can do, but it's pretty awesome anyway.
