Apr. 5th, 2005 11:25 pmWell, that was fun. Close to 11pm, our building's fire alarm went off. My first thought was "Damn it! I keep forgetting to get apartment insurance!" Then it was "Save the assignment to disk! I'm not losing the whole fucking thing after all that work I did! I only have 2 more numbers to enter, and the Introduction to do, and then I'm done! SAVE IT!!!"
It turns out there were two "fires" actually. The first one we knew about was the guy below my across the hall neighbour, A, who had a grease fire and threw water on it (yeah, whoops). The other was some guy trying to impress his date, so he'd lit a ton of candles, which then proceeded to catch fire. Heh. Both were contained easily, though.
I got to see A again, though, which is nice. She's really sweet, and pretty hilarious. And she introduced me to a down-the-hall neighbour, G, and I played with my next door neighbour's dog that no longer howls and wakes me up.
So now I'll finish my assignment, since I have to be up really early tomorrow for my gym orientation.
