Also, I need to buy boots, since my winter ones from the last two years are dead. I really want these. I'm a little tempted by the burgandy/pink ones, but I'm sure I'll get bored of them after a year, so I'm thinking black would be best. Even if my co-worker gets the same ones.

I saw a program about white supremacy by Louis Theroux that included those two girls. At one point in the program Louis just begged the mother to start sending them to school so they could have a more open-minded education. It's very very sick using those kids in that way.

that story is disgusting... i feel truly sorry for those girls right now. but y'know, they can't be living a totally insular live. if they don't get a clue in another year or so, all my pity will fly out out the window.

A bunch of us in the dorm watched the news special on them last week and were all, of course, duly horrified. I can only hope in a couple of years they'll start thinking for themselves and hopefully realize how fucked up what they're doing is.
