Sadly, when I got to the Humane Society, there were no cats left. Which is good for the cats, but sad for me. I'll just keep an eye on their website, and hopefully later this month there will be a cat for me.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was pretty good. I was expecting a bit more zaniness from a Tim Burton/Johnny Depp movie, but I did enjoy it. I need to read the book.

is it a good thing that they have so many cats that they make them free and people come in to get them? as in, people only want cats when they're free? is $25 so much to pay for a cat?

or perhaps to be nicer it was the call for help with the cats that convinced people that they want them.

I did have the same thought myself, actually. I'm hoping it was the call for help that convinced people that they wanted a cat, and not the free part.

yeah, i'm a cynic though, i'm likely going to have to believe the other way
