Thanks to the lovely
ardenstreet, I'm very curious about my friends list. She posed the following question
here (and the entry is a really interesting read, so check it out.):
So, what did you do between the ages of 7 and 14 that really consumed you? What were your passions? What represented YOU?My answer to that?
During those years, I had tons of penpals, too, and I wrote gigantically huge letters about all sorts of things. I made up strange stories to write in my friends' yearbooks. I drew and took art/drawing/painting classes. I learned how to ride a horse. I read whenever I could. I was really good at speaking French. I did well in school, but was bored a lot. I would pretend my book collection was a library, and sign out books for my stuffed animals, and instead of a date stamp, I used one of a bucket of popcorn that actually smelled like popcorn. I played the recorder and the flute, and I was good at both.
I miss those days. I need to create things more often now.I keep saying I want to do more creative things, and I really mean it this time. I'm going to use my art supplies; I really miss drawing, even if I don't think I'm very good at it, really. I have all sorts of paints, pastels, etc, and I don't use them, and it's a shame.
I would love to read what you would all answer to that question. Hit me!
