The Weekend to End Breast Cancer
Apr. 8th, 2005 11:14 amOn September 9-11, 2005, I am participating in The Weekend to End Breast Cancer, a 2 day, 60km walk in support of the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation (in Toronto, Ontario). I have pledged to raise $2000 for this event, and I was hoping that you would be interested in donating to my fundraising efforts. The money raised is going to benefit breast cancer research and treatment at Princess Margaret Hospital; in previous years, fundraising through these walks has been instrumental in opening their Institute for Breast Cancer Research, and in funding the programs at the M. Lau Breast Centre.
Every year more than 21,000 Canadians and 1 in 9 Canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer. I’m hoping that I can make a difference, and you can help -- I am accepting donations for any amount of money you would care to give to this worthy cause, whether it’s $1 or $500! All donations $10 and above are tax deductible, and tax receipts will be issued to you. You may make these donations anytime between now and September 7, 2005.
If you are interested in helping me meet my fundraising goals, please visit my personal page; the site is secure and very easy to use for online donations.
If you would like to be kept updated on my fundraising and training efforts, please let me know, and I will add you to my email list.
For more information on this event, please feel free to visit the Weekend to End Breast Cancer’s main site: www.endcancer.ca.
Thank you so much!
