I think I need to make a Canadian version of this hoodie, especially considering I have that particular sentiment in a patch and button, and I'm wearing all black in mourning today (sort of. But I wear all black to work at least once a week, anyway).

Sadly, the person I voted for did not win. BOO. But hey, it's $1.50 for the NDP at the very least.

I'm procrastinating from writing a paper for work, which is making me feel like I'm still in university. Which made me all nostalgic for that time period. And I got to thinking about people I used to be pretty good friends with, who I met because of the internet. And I got all sad that I don't really talk to them anymore. I read the comments they left in my guestbook from my old diary, and am now all sad that I don't have the same connection with them anymore.

Which then makes me think about people I knew in highschool. And I kind of miss some of them, even though I re-read a bunch of my journals from that time, and holy crap was I melodramatic and unhappy with most of them.

But it was also interesting to see how some of my beliefs changed during that brief time. In less than a year I went from homophobic (I lived in a small town, okay? Don't hate me!) to being horrified and outraged by homophobia and racism. So that gave me a nice little boost of faith in myself.

I'm not sure how to get out of this maudlin funk kind of thing. Maybe I'll just bite the bullet and email them at their last known email addresses, and see what happens.

Although, if you think you might be one of them, feel free to email me in the meantime. :) (Or even if you don't think that, but we still haven't chatted in a while, the sentiment still applies.)
