GAH!

Cameron just made me watch the freakiest horror movie EVER! I am NEVER going to sleep AGAIN and it is ALL HIS FAULT!

Except I'm lying, because I'm the one who suggested the film. But only because I know he likes horror movies, and I tolerate them for him! I am SUCH a good friend.

And oh my god, if my upstairs neighbour keeps bumping around like that, I'm totally going to think that THEY'RE being murdered! Just like in the crazy french MOVIE!

I'm going to watch Gilmore Girls now, to calm down a bit.

In re-hooking up the VCR so that I can actually tape things from the television, I can now get more than 3 channels!

I can watch Gilmore girls!

And other shows that I don't know are playing.

I've now seen Serenity twice. So good. So bittersweet. My original post was going to be "Dude." But [livejournal.com profile] listersgirl already did that one.

Sometimes the state of the world makes me want to cry and never leave my apartment again.

I guess I should just keep telling myself that my job is worth it; we're trying to change it.

Dude.

The O.C. Season premiere, and the first commercial? Serenity!

Plus chocolate makes a really great night for my geekishness.

And then the next commercial break's movie was The Corpse Bride! Sweet.

I was a little bit surprised at how much I enjoyed Dukes of Hazzard. It was funny, the driving made me want to race cars, Jessica Simpson was good as Daisy, and I didn't hate Sean William Scott. (Also, I find Johnny Knoxville strangely hot. Shh, don't tell!) I thought it was much funnier than Wedding Crashers, the movie that Scott's friends thought was the funniest thing ever, and I just though had a few funny moments.

Plus, Cait treated me to the movie (and Nibs!), and we got to see Stina, so all in all, last night was good.

I'm tired today, though. Oh well.

This evening has been good (which was a nice change from the Afternoon of Hell that was work): good food, good company, zombies (in movie form), and the Serenity preview on the big screen (so exciting)!

Tomorrow evening I will be getting a partial drive home in a limo.

Other than that, it's stinking hot, and I hate it.

And this is an awesome story for Serenity/Firefly fans.

One day soon I'll update with my vacation stories.

DAMN IT!

Of course the first Toronto pre-screening of Serenity is on June 23! OF COURSE! Because I'm supposed to be at the NOFX concert at the same time.

Damn that crazy lady with the hand coming out of her hoo-haw.

All you Toronto folks on my f-list should go for me. Yes you should. And you Vancouver folks can go to your own, too. And then rub it into my sad, sad face. (Plus, Vancouver folks, the woman who plays Kaylee may be there. She apparently really wants a showing there, as she lives there.)

Cameron made me watch a crazy Japanese movie. It had a crazy lady with a hand coming out of her hoo-haw, among other things (er, she didn't have other things coming out of her body [except for the blood that came just before the hand], but there were other odd things in the movie). It was interesting, though, and kept us guessing.

I should probably get back to work.

Speaking of work, it's fun to sneak my Cons into my outfits on days that are not Casual Friday. Today they are partially hidden by my really long sundress, and last week they were an ode to Ellen Degeneres, who wears sneakers with her dressy clothes. (I'm a loser, I know.)

Just finished watching Closer. It was...okay. I was bored during most of it. I just couldn't bring myself to care about any of the characters, although the closest I got to caring would have been for Natalie Portman's character. My favourite part of the movie was the end. Not because it was ending, though. I liked how you get to see her passport, and find out who she really is, and then he sees the plaque, and finds out who she isn't. Stupid, smug Jude Law's character.

Now I will be creative for the other people in my department for tomorrow's theme day. Our "theme" is funky sunglasses and hats. I've got black velvet sunglasses, and my orange Pippi Longstocking hat for myself. I'm making sparkly things to attach to my co-workers' sunglasses, since they were all "I just have my regular old sunglasses", and I may make one for myself as well, since you can't really tell my sunglasses are funky unless you get close to them. And I may bring my kindergarten hat (it's blue, with Mickey and possibly Minney (sp?) Mouse on it, with my name embroidered on it. From my first trip to Disney World when I was in kindergarten). I don't think I have any other hats except for baseball hats. If only I still had the hat signed by indy car drivers and the dude who owns the company that sponsors them. Damn, I can't remember his name. I think it starts with R. But anyway, I don't.

One day I really will get around to writing the entries about things of actual consequence.

Dear Buckley's Medicine,

I know people who swear by you. Yes, you taste like ass. But come on! Work a bit faster, please. I don't think you've done anything yet, and I'm already on my third spoonful. I'm following directions, but maybe I should take it to the max and do two at a time instead of one? Although, I would prefer if you just stopped making me cough right now. That'd be keen.

Thank you for your consideration,
emiline

Dear magazine store down the road from work,

Okay, I've visited you HOW many times in the past 6 or 7 months, wondering if you carried Bitch or Bust magazines. Thank you for finally (FINALLY!) carrying them today, even though I'd already picked up the latest Bitch. I think I'll get a subscription anyway, because you're obviously not all that reliable.

On the fence,
emiline

Dear guy at the movie store,

Hey, next time I have a free movie rental, kindly ASK me if I want to redeem it first before you just decide to redeem it for me. I had a plan, and you totally ruined it!

Bastard (but you were nice otherwise, so I can forgive you),

Dear Empire Records,

Man, it's been a while, hasn't it? It's nice though; no matter how long it's been since we hung out together, when we do finally hang out, it's nice and comfortable. I like that.

"I hope you like blue cheese",
emiline
