Our supervisor is on holidays today, so we're having a super time totally redecorating his cubicle. Lots of notes from "sponsors"/demands of ridiculous raises or we all quit, and silly pictures of American Idols declaring their love for him, etc...

This silliness is totally what I'll miss if I get that other position I applied for. But I'd only be 15 feet away, so I can still watch it all go down.

You won't be allowed to be silly? Why not? Silly builds morale, and stuff.

I don't know - this is a weird office. My current department is completely silly. When we have our theme Fridays, all the other departments want to know what our theme is, and are all, "Oh, you're so lucky! I wish we could do the themes with you!", and we're all, "Yo, we just decided to do this to have fun and keep our morale up. You're quite welcome to have your own theme days, or to join in on ours.", but nobody ever seems to listen to us, and it's rare that other departments join in. The one department that does join in, though, is the one I'm hoping to move into, so that's fun. Plus, apparently, the supervisor there does want to have more fun/morale boosting times, so who knows.
