I have a cat!

She's supercute, and affectionate (a little meow-y, but I think it's just the adjusting).

Currently her name is Cat Face (what kind of a loser names their cat Cat Face? Oh right, the kind of loser that doesn't brush their cat, or trim their nails. The fuck?), and I think that may remain her nickname (because it's ridiculously funny). Cameron suggested Millie (for George/Millie on Dead Like Me), and that's an option for her name. But it got me thinking of other female characters from TV shows that I like, so I'm also debating Kaylee and Willow. (I'm a loser, yes.) I'm also worried that Millie sounds too much like my own name.

I've taken one photo of her on my Joycam. When I figure out how I can post it (or if I make Scott bring his digital camera and take photos), I will totally post it here for y'all to see.

And this Humane Society person was totally all, "heart murmur? It's nothing. Lots of cats have them." so that's ... heartening. (groan)

I think it was more the combination of not brushing and not trimming the nails that got me. It was like, did they even LOOK at the cat while they had it?

yeah, my cat has one. my vet says it's not too important.
although if i want to spent a fortune she's more than willing to help me get my cat an ultrasound.

Heh. Yeah. They told me I could talk to a vet about getting one for her, but I figured they'd be a little expensive.

I guess you can't name her after Delores Herbig's cat, Murray, because he was a boy. Though my vote's still for that name. ;)

I trim my cat's nails (the big cat), but only because he accidentally scratches me when we play if I don't. I don't bother with the little cat's nails because she needs those to defend herself against the big cat (although she doesn't need much help in that department; despite being half his size, she beats him up all the time).

I want to see pictures, definitely!

Well, I could go with the trend of naming girls with boy's names... Cameron had also suggested naming her Delores Herbig.

If this cat is anything like my brother's cat, I'm going to get sick of the ends of her claws sticking into me, and cut them.

I'm growing to like Cat Face more, but I don't think I could use it as more than a nickname. It's just so bizarre to me. But funny, too.

I hadn't thought of Kaylee like that, but it totally makes sense. I think I'm leaning more towards Kaylee.
